Probability is the likelihood a certain event will occur.

Probability can be written as a fraction where the numerator is the number of ways the event can occur and the denominator is the total number of possible outcomes.

Probability of Event Occurring =

number of ways event can occur

total number of possible outcomes

The number of ways the event can occur is the number of cards which are hearts, which is 5.

The total number of possible outcomes is the total number of cards, which is 10.

So, the probability Adrienne selects a heart is

\frac{5}{10}

Experimental probability is probability based on trials.

If a fair heads/tails coin is flipped, it is equally likely to land on heads as it is to land on tails.
No matter how many times the coin is flipped, each flip has the same probability of landing on either heads or tails.
Let's say the coin is flipped 10 times and it lands on heads 9 times.
Based on those 10 flips, the experimental probability of the coin landing on heads is
