About the Alabama CHOOSE Act
The CHOOSE Act gives eligible Alabama families an education savings account to spend on approved education expenses. The Alabama Department of Revenue runs the program, and families spend their funds through ClassWallet.
How much families get
- $2,000 per student for homeschool families, up to $4,000 per family
- $7,000 per student enrolled at a participating school
Who can use it
For the 2026-27 school year, household income must be at or below 300% of the federal poverty level. From 2027-28 the income limit is removed, and every Alabama K-12 student becomes eligible.

It runs in any current web browser with nothing to install.

Standards alignment
Every Learning Farm topic is tied to one standard for the grade. You can see which skills your child practiced and which ones are mastered.
For Alabama families, Learning Farm uses its Common Core State Standards program. It is not written standard by standard to the Alabama Course of Study Standards, and it is not a copy of the ACAP Summative. What your child gets is skill-by-skill practice in the core K-8 subjects.

What is included and what it costs

The term ends June 30, 2027. ALDOR approves a subscription only for dates inside the program's academic year, July 1 to June 30 (ALDOR Rule 810-28-1-.01). So you pay $7.99 for each month left in the year, and never more than $79. Today that is the full-year price, $79.00.
The price is the same for every family. Learning Farm adds no program or processing fee.
A purchase with program funds is one invoice for the whole term. Families who pay by card can choose $7.99 a month or $79 a year.

Refunds
You can ask for a full refund of an annual subscription within 30 days of the start date, for any reason. You can cancel a monthly subscription at any time, and partial months are not refunded. A refund on a program-funded purchase goes back to your CHOOSE Act account through ClassWallet. It is never paid to the parent.
Paying with your CHOOSE Act funds
Program funds cannot go through a card checkout. You pay through ClassWallet with an invoice, and you make that invoice yourself in about two minutes.
- Sign up. Choose the grade level, give your name and your child's name, and pick a username and a password. No card is needed.
- Download your invoice. It is ready at once. It is a plain Learning Farm invoice that shows the student, the dates of service and the total. It does not name the program.
- Upload it in ClassWallet. Log in to ClassWallet, choose Pay Vendor, pick Learning Farm, request the exact invoice total, attach the invoice and submit.
- Wait for approval. ALDOR reviews the request. This can take a few weeks. When it is approved, ClassWallet pays Learning Farm directly from your account. You pay nothing out of pocket.
- Start. Your child's account starts the day the payment reaches us, and we email you.
