Cause and effect
Cause and effect is one way that authors organize information when they write. Sometimes, authors write about an event and the things that caused it. This type of organizational pattern is called cause and effect.
Two important parts of a cause and effect structure are:
Cause: Why something happened
Effect: What happened, or the result
It is important to remember that:
Sometimes, there are multiple causes to something.
Sometimes, there are multiple effects of something.
