Introduction:
- Tells what the passage is going to be about
- Says something exciting about the topic
- Gets the reader interested in the topic
- Shows the main idea
Conclusion:
- Wraps up the passage
- Tells about the main idea again, in a few words
- Uses words that show the passage is ending (finally, in conclusion)
- Ties together the beginning of the passage to the end
