Dictionaries, glossaries, and thesauruses are all resources that people may use to find out the meaning, spelling, pronunciation, and other things about an unfamiliar word.
Dictionary
A dictionary is a collection of words, either in a book or online, that is usually arranged in alphabetical order. It may include information on the definition, pronunciation, usage, syllabication, and origin of words.

Glossary
A glossary is an alphabetical list of terms that relate to a specific subject. Each term is defined, and sometimes, an example of the term will also be given. Glossaries can usually be found at the back of books.
Glossary of Poetry Terms
accent
Emphasis on a certain syllable in a word or on a certain word in a sentence. It is also known as stress. Example: poetry — the accent is on the first syllable.
antithesis
Two terms or ideas that have opposite meanings used to balance one another. Example: Love and hate; happiness and sadness; selfishness and selflessness
Thesaurus
A thesaurus is a collection of words that includes a brief definition, synonyms, and antonyms.
