REVISING & EDITING
After you have finished a draft of your writing, you can take another look at it to see what can be improved or fixed. Revising and editing your writing will help make it better in the long run.
REVISING
When you revise your writing, you are looking to see if your ideas make sense, are well connected, and are easily understandable.
As you revise, ask yourself a few questions:
Do I have any unnecessary words, phrases, or sentences in my writing?
Is there a better or stronger word or phrase that I could use?
Did I use enough details to explain my ideas thoroughly?
EDITING
When you edit your writing, you are looking for any mechanical and grammatical mistakes that might need to be fixed.
