ADJECTIVES
Adjectives are words used to describe nouns. They can tell many different things about nouns, such as size, color, quality, and much more.
Example:
The dog chased after the red ball.
Grace had threesmall marbles in her hand.
The rainy weather led to soaked shoes.
ARTICLES
Articles are a special kind of adjective. They tell whether a noun is general or specific. There are three articles: a, an, and the.
The article the is used to refer to specific nouns and/or plural nouns.
Example:
Can you hand me the red hammer over there?
Diana brought in the plants from the cold.
The articles a and an refer to general nouns. They also only refer to singular nouns. The article a is used before words that begin with a consonant, while the article an is used before words that begin with a vowel.
